Compton took a 6-0 lead with a 7-yard touchdown run with 1:03 to go in the first quarter.

The Tarbabes followed up that drive with another one that ended in a three-yard scoring run (and another missed PAT conversion) that has given Compton a 12-0 advantage with 7:26 to play in the half.

So far, Compton is living up to its No. 16 ranking by The Times.
