Santa Ana Softball Team Is Still Unbeaten

Chris Makimoto pitched a two-hit shutout Friday to lead the undefeated Santa Ana College softball team to a 3-0 nonconference win over host Moorpark.
The Dons (13-0) got all the offense they needed when Lesa Godfrey hit the first pitch of the game for a home run to left-center field.
Santa Ana opens South Coast Conference play on Wednesday against defending state champion Golden West at Huntington Beach.
In other community college softball action:
Golden West 9, Southwestern 5--The Rustlers scored six runs on six hits in the fourth inning, keyed by Donna Campana’s double. Campana was 2 for 3 on the day with 3 RBIs. Lisa Brady pitched a complete game and struck out two to improve her record to 6-5.
