Activist Hosea Williams Wins Atlanta Council Seat

ATLANTA — Veteran civil rights activist Hosea Williams won a seat on Atlanta’s City Council on Tuesday, soundly defeating incumbent Morris Finley in a runoff election. Williams and Finley, both black, reached the runoff by finishing first and second in a five-candidate contest on Oct. 9.
