Reagan to Have Checkup Friday

WASHINGTON — President Reagan will stop at Bethesda Naval Hospital Friday for his second “routine post-operative visit” to assess his recovery from colon cancer surgery in mid-July, the White House said today.
The announcement said that “further information will be provided when available.” After a similar check-up Sept. 20, Reagan said he had made a “100% complete recovery” from the surgery. Subsequently, however, the White House made only the barest details of Reagan’s condition and his post-operative medical care public.
