San Diego police arrested a 38-year-old Mission Gorge area man Thursday and charged him with homicide in the shotgun slaying of his 50-year-old wife late Wednesday.
Charles Arthur Kessler, a volunteer ranger at Hollins Lake in the city’s Mission Trails Park, was held after police found his wife, Anne Marie Kessler, shot in the head at the couple’s home in the recreation area’s trailer park.
Anne Marie Kessler was rushed by Life Flight helicopter to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where she died at about 3 a.m. Thursday, police said.
