U.S. Fishing Captains Released in St. Vincent

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — The prime minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines has dropped all charges against three American fishing captains a month after they were seized for violating territorial waters, a published report said Sunday.
Under an agreement, the captains, who were imprisoned for 19 days, and their Florida-based boats were released from custody of the Caribbean island nation, according to in the Fort Lauderdale News and Sun-Sentinel.
The release was negotiated by St. Vincent Prime Minister James F. Mitchell and Michael Griffith, a member of the Philadelphia-based International Legal Defense Counsel.
