Platform Diving Title for Earley

Brian Earley won the platform diving title for boys 13-14 Sunday with a score of 230.05 in the Southern California Open and Regional Age-Group Olympics at the Mission Viejo International Diving Complex, completing a sweep of his age-group events in the weekend meet.
Earley, of the Mission Viejo Nadadores, also won the three-meter and one-meter springboard competition.
J. D. McGregor of the Nadadores won the senior men’s title with a score of 524.25. Phil Smith of Mission Viejo (who is not yet a member of the Nadadores) was third at 371.15. That score also gave Smith the boys’ 15-17 title. Dan Nash of the Nadadores was second in the boys’ 15-17 division with a score of 330.85.
Lisa Hecker of the Nadadores placed fifth in the senior women’s competition and third in the girls’ 15-17 competition with a score of 297.65.
Susie Mullaney of the Nadadores won the girls’ 12-and-under title with a score of 139.95. Joy Burkholder of the Nadadores was fourth (104.30). Chris Vonk of the Nadadores won the boys’ 12-and-under title (127.70).
Meredith Herbert of the Nadadores was sixth in the girls’ 13-14 division (185.50) and Amy Palmer of the Nadadores was eighth (169.45).
