The body of an unidentified man was found Sunday on a hillside near El Camino Real north of Encinitas, apparently beaten to death, police said.
The body was discovered by an undocumented Mexican worker in his makeshift dwelling upon returning home Sunday afternoon.
Identification was difficult because of multiple cuts and bruises on the man’s face and body, police said. No weapon was found, and police have no suspects.
