An unidentified man was killed Sunday morning when he was hit by a car while crossing South Mission Road.
The victim, who died on arrival at Fallbrook Hospital, was struck by a southbound vehicle in front of 2756 South Mission Road at 8:42 a.m., a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.
The driver of the car, John Choura, 67, of Long Beach, who was not injured, was not held.
