Bush Not Invited by Morocco

JERUSALEM — Vice President George Bush today urged Middle East leaders to take advantage of the opening created by high-level talks between Israel and Morocco but was not invited to become involved in the Arab-Israeli dialogue.
Aides said Bush will not add Morocco to his itinerary to follow up on last week’s meeting between King Hassan and Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres. U.S. officials indicated that Bush had been looking for an invitation from Hassan before deciding on a trip to Morocco. No invitation was extended.
