Paramount Pictures announced that Bud Levy has been named president of its newly acquired Trans-Lux theaters division, purchased from Trans-Lux Corp. of Norwalk, Conn.

Levy, who has served as Trans-Lux Corp.’s president and chief operating officer for the past six years, joined that company in 1960 as head of its motion picture exhibition business. He will remain on the firm’s executive committee and board of directors.
