Robert A. Bermant was named executive vice president of Preferred Securities, a Tarzana real estate syndication firm. In the newly created post, he will be responsible for marketing to broker-dealers and will supervise a national sales force. Bermant previously was senior vice president and director of private placements at Security Properties in Seattle.
