A 26-year-old transient was arrested on suspicion of burglary Sunday by Orange County sheriff’s deputies, who were alerted by a silent alarm and reportedly caught the suspect fleeing a Dana Point home.
Sheriff’s Lt. Dick Olson said Jesus Sanchez, 26, was booked into the Orange County Jail shortly after his arrest about 5:15 p.m. Sunday at the Perch Drive home.
Deputies responding to the alarm staked out the front and back entrances to the single-story home, Olson said. He said a deputy saw a man exit a rear window and confronted him before the suspect ducked back into the house.
Sanchez was apprehended as he tried to run out the front door, Olson said.
