Reagan to Name Judge, Reappoint U.S. Attorney

WASHINGTON — President Reagan intends to reappoint George Landon Phillips to be U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Mississippi, the White House announced Monday. Phillips, who would serve a four-year term, has been in the position since 1981.
Reagan also intends to nominate Richard B. McQuade Jr. to be the U.S. district judge for Fulton County in Ohio, the White House announced. McQuade, who would succeed Nicholas J. Walinski, has served on the Common Pleas Court in Fulton County since 1978.
