DAVIDSON WILL OPEN FREEDMAN

Singer John Davidson will open the new $8-million Freedman Forum theater in Anaheim with a New Year’s Eve concert, theater officials announced Monday.
James Woodin, the theater’s managing director, said an opening act for the 9 p.m. concert will be announced later. Tickets for the performance go on sale today at Ticketron outlets.
As previously announced, the musical “42nd Street” will open a four-week run on Jan. 13 at the 2,300-seat theater-in-the-round, located at Broadway and 42nd Street. For ticket information on Freedman Forum events, call the box office, (714) 535-2000.
