Campeau Corp. of Toronto said it will sell a 25% interest in five shopping centers, which it acquired in its Allied Stores takeover and are valued at $450 million, to Edward J. DeBartolo Corp., a rival bidder for the retailer . . . NW Ayer, the nation’s oldest advertising agency, said that it will buy Cunningham & Walsh and that it had also agreed in principle to buy two of Cunningham & Walsh’s subsidiaries from Mickelberry Corp. of New York, the parent firm, for an undisclosed amount of cash.
