Franklin Telecommunications named Gary Rogers to the newly created position of vice president for operations. Rogers, 33, will continue to serve as general manager for the Westlake Village-based firm.
Rogers joined the company in February, 1985. He previously was a plant manager at Pure Air, a Canoga Park maker of equipment for “clean rooms,” sterile environments where semiconductors and other sensitive products are manufactured.
Franklin Telecommunications makes data-storage and retrieval equipment, known as mass-storage subsystems, which are hard-disk drives and tape drives operating with the company’s software.
Earlier this year, the company introduced a personal computer that it says is compatible with IBM’s powerful PC AT.
