Holiday Cheer in Multiples

Staffers at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Orange Monday afternoon treated some former tiny patients, all now growing up quite nicely, to a little Christmas party complete with an appearance from Santa Claus.
The special guests were all multiple-birth children who were either born or treated at the hospital. In all, seven sets of toddlers celebrated Monday.
Making an appearance were some famous triplets who at birth were famous for being part of the first septuplet birth in the United States. Richard, Patricia and Steve Frustaci were born to Sam and Patti Frustaci on May 21, 1985. Four other Frustaci children did not survive.
The triplets at right are, from front to back, Michael, Kristine and Matthew Stollenwerk of Anaheim, 9 months. Above, Ashley and Brian McNamara of Santa Ana, 4 years, are the survivors of a set of triplets.
