Cypress : Retiring Supervisor Wins Service Award

Retiring County Supervisor Ralph B. Clark will receive Cypress College’s Americana Man of the Year Award for distinguished community service, the college has announced.
The award will be presented at the college’s 12th annual Americana Awards Dinner on Feb. 21 at the Disneyland Hotel.
Others to be honored during the dinner are people “who have contributed outstanding service to their respective communities” in the Cypress College area, college officials announced. Those being honored and the communities they have served are Mel Miller, Anaheim; Joe Klockgether Jr., Buena Park; Jeanne Hawkins, Cypress; Ken Slimmer, Garden Grove; Dale Hedtke, La Palma; Lew Wells, Los Alamitos-Seal Beach, and Peter Muth, Stanton.
Former U.S. Rep. James Roosevelt, who is co-chairman.
