Virginia Tech has chosen Murray State football coach Frank Beamer to replace coach Bill Dooley, who resigned recently during a dispute with the school that evolved into a $3.5-million lawsuit.
But Dooley will lead Tech against North Carolina State in the Dec. 31 Peach Bowl game.
