Orange County College Basketball : SCC’s Balance Pays Off in Victory

The Southern California College men’s basketball team used balanced scoring Tuesday night to defeat Evangel College, 75-67, at Costa Mesa.
Randy Wynne and Jon Haar each scored 19 points and Rob Lucas added 15 for the Vanguards (7-3).
Leading, 69-67, the Vanguards made six consecutive free throws in the final two minutes.
Thomas McGuire of Evangel (7-6) led all scorers with 21 points.
In women’s games:
UC Irvine 62, Boise State 39--Center Natalie Crawford scored 18 points and guard Cheryl Hoffman added 13 for the Anteaters (4-6). Ann Jensvold led Boise State with 12.
Chapman 73, Northwestern Oklahoma State 62--Senior forward Valarie Hartsfield scored 21 points and grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds to lead Chapman (5-5) at Orange High School.
Tina Cavalin added 17 points for the Panthers.
