Entertainer Danny Kaye was reported in extremely critical condition Monday night at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Kaye, 74, was admitted Sunday suffering from hepatitis and intestinal bleeding, said hospital spokesman Ron Wise. The entertainer’s family was reported to be at his side.
“They had a personal message, thanking his fans,” Wise said. “ . . . His condition is bad.”
Kaye starred in such classics of screen comedy and fantasy as “The Inspector General,” “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty,” and “Hans Christian Andersen.”
