A Van Nuys man was killed and three of his four passengers seriously injured when his car crashed into a concrete-block wall in Sun Valley on Sunday night, authorities said.
Ramon G. Aispuro, 18, was driving west on Sheldon Street at 10:45 p.m. when his car smashed head-on into a wall just east of Wentworth Street, said Los Angeles Police Officer Robert Kalstrom.
Aispuro was taken by helicopter to St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, where he was pronounced dead at 6:12 a.m. Monday, according to Kalstrom. Investigators suspect that Aispuro had been drinking, he said.
