Plane Carrying 62 Makes Emergency Landing in N.J.

NEW YORK — A Piedmont Airlines plane carrying 62 people from Boston to Charlotte, N.C., made an emergency landing at Newark International Airport when a cockpit light warned of a fire in one of the engines, officials said. No fire was found and no injuries were reported in the incident Tuesday.
