San Diego Community College Football : Grossmont Will Play Host to Powerful Orange Coast

Grossmont College will be the first Mission Conference school in San Diego to get a look at the conference’s new offensive power--Orange Coast College. The teams will meet at Grossmont High School at 7:30 Saturday night.
OCC is leading the conference in total offense, averaging 414.3 yards per game. Sophomore running back Bart Recktenwald leads the conference in rushing (385 yards in 70 carries) and in all-purpose yards (320 per game).
Junior Tagaloa leads the conference in receiving (23 catches for 395 yards and 5 touchdowns), and quarterback Keith Jarrett leads in touchdown passes (nine).
Grossmont counters with quarterback Mike Jordan, (46 of 94 passes for 795 yards and 5 touchdowns), and its defense has given up 374.3 yards per game, seventh best in the conference.
