Hollywood : Cleanup Project Ends Saturday
- Share via
Saturday will be the last day of a three-week cleanup project in Hollywood.
Since Sept. 26, crews of volunteers have spent their Saturdays or Sundays sweeping the streets, picking up trash and painting over graffiti. The City of Los Angeles and area businesses have donated brooms, shovels and paint to the effort, which has been dubbed “Give Hollywood a Birthday Bath.”
Councilman Michael Woo, who organized the event, is seeking volunteers to participate in the final day of cleaning. Anyone wishing to help spruce up Tinseltown is asked to show up at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Palace, 1735 Vine St.
