Charlie Joiner, a Charger assistant coach who caught an NFL-record 750 passes for a record 12,146 yards in 239 games, will be honored at the eighth annual Rolf Benirschke Celebrity Roast Oct. 23 at the Kona Kai Club. Charger quarterback Dan Fouts, former Chargers Ed White (now a Charger assistant coach), James Harris, former Charger coach Don Coryell and former Pittsburgh Steeler L.C. Greenwood are expected to be among those roasting Joiner. Proceeds will benefit the National Foundation for Ileitis and Colitis. For ticket information, call 544-0108.
