An armed man with a taste for chocolate chip robbed a Baskin-Robbins 31 Flavors Ice Cream store in Seal Beach on Sunday.
The man walked into the store in Rossmoor Center about 11:45 a.m. and ordered a chocolate chip ice cream cone, Police Sgt. Kenny Mollohan said. When the clerk went to the cash register, the man drew a blue steel revolver, pointed it at the clerk and demanded money, Mollohan said.
The clerk handed over cash, and the robber fled through the store’s rear door into the shopping center, Mollohan said.
The robber was described as white with sandy blond hair, 25 to 30 years old, 6 feet, 1 inch tall, and wearing blue jeans and a denim jacket. Seal Beach police ask that anyone with information about the robbery call them at (213) 431-2541.
