Newport Beach : Former Hostage Jacobsen to Talk

Former terrorist hostage David P. Jacobsen will speak at a luncheon hosted by the Freedoms Foundation Orange County chapter at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 8, at the Newport Beach Country Club, 1600 E. Coast Highway, Newport Beach.
Jacobsen was kidnapped on May 28, 1985, at the American University of Beirut Medical Center and held hostage by the Islamic Jihad until his release on Nov. 2, 1986. Jacobsen will speak on “Our Freedoms” and tell how he continues to lobby for the release of the Americans still held hostage in Lebanon. He will also address the symptoms and causes of international terrorism.
