Two players--Brian Sells and Tony Nichols--are teammates at Sonora High School in Northern California.
Sells is a 6-foot, 3-inch, 220-pound linebacker. Nichols is a 6-5, 270-pound offensive tackle. Both were members of the Valley Oak League all-star team.
Bill Kushner of Fallbrook said he will accept a half scholarship from SDSU. Kushner, 6-1 and 190 pounds, averaged 40 yards a punt for Fallbrook.

Chris Murphy’s grand slam highlighted a six-run fourth inning as the UC San Diego baseball team defeated California Lutheran College, 10-1, Monday in the season-opener for both teams in Thousand Oaks.
Starting pitcher Rick Nowak allowed one hit in five innings to earn the victory. Senior third baseman Thad Ferre was 3 for 5 with 3 RBIs and Matt Bynum and Brian Crawford each added two hits for UCSD.
