Soviet athlete Eva Sokolova has broken the world indoor record for the women’s 100-meter hurdles, the Tass news agency said.
Tass said Sokolova, a 25-year-old student, won her specialty in 12.91 seconds Sunday at a Soviet-Finnish track meet at Leningrad. The old mark of 13.12 was set by Annelia Erhardt of East Germany.
