PHOENIX — Greg Kite, the former Boston Celtics’ reserve, will make his first appearance as a member of the Clippers tonight, when they take on the Phoenix Suns at 6:30 in a game that matches the teams with the longest losing streaks in the National Basketball Assn.
The Clippers will be attempting to end a skid in which they have lost 6 games in a row and 20 of their last 22, tying them with the Golden State Warriors for the league’s worst record at All-Star break, 10-32.
The Suns (13-29) have lost 10 straight, just two shy of their club record.
Kite, 26, in his fifth year in the NBA, was waived Feb. 1 by the Celtics. In his four-plus seasons with the Celtics, the 6-foot 11-inch Kite averaged 1.6 points and 2.0 rebounds in 241 games.
Clipper rookie swingman Reggie Williams, sidelined since Jan. 13 with a knee injury, was scheduled to resume working out with the club Monday.
