Dave Alvin and The Allnighters, several members of X and other local rockers will appear Friday at The Music Machine as part of a benefit concert for presidential candidate Jesse Jackson. Performers include: X’s John Doe and Tony Gilkyson, Victoria Williams and Julie Christensen of Divine Horsemen. Said Doe, “It’s time for people to make a statement in terms of political action; to show we care for Jesse is important.”
