Police Lt. Jack Nelson said the body of a heavily built Latino in his 20s was discovered at 8:50 a.m. in the 1000 block of West Segerstrom Avenue.
He said the body appeared to have been in the bushes for several hours. Nelson said the dead man was wearing a yellow T-shirt, white corduroy pants and new construction boots.
Nelson said the man had suffered head injuries. An autopsy was scheduled to be performed today. Anyone with information is asked to call the homicide detail of the Santa Ana Police Department at (714) 647-5114.
