The Investment Company Institute reported that assets of the nation’s 468 money market mutual funds rose $805 million in the week ended April 19, to $303.45 billion . . . A group of three Canadian companies has reluctantly abandoned plans to try to buy Wardair, citing difficulties obtaining information necessary to prepare a bid before the April 24 deadline. However American Airlines is said to still be considering making a bid for the Canadian carrier.
