Not long ago, Hollywood couldn’t fathom the pettiness of Christians who protested the inaccuracies of a film depicting the life of Western civilization’s progenitor (“The Last Temptation of Christ”), but now a movie’s been made about an overfed drug addict and a lot of Hollywood people are fretting that it may exploit a dead and largely forgettable comic.
