Fuss Over Ethics and Officeholders

First it was a proposed 50% pay increase for Congress, tied to a prohibition on the acceptance of dubious honorarium fees. Now it’s a proposed 25% pay increase to the judiciary, with a similar provision regarding palm-greasing. Apparently, our public servants feel that a financial incentive will help to keep them on the straight and narrow.
Since most violent crimes and crimes against property are committed by members of society with the lowest incomes, how about a 100% increase in the minimum wage?
