To help clarify the America’s Cup confusion consider this analogy: Suppose a match race was set up between Al Unser Jr. and Mario Andretti where each would drive stock passenger cars in a 100-mile race at Daytona. On race day, Unser drives to the start line in a turbocharged, eight-cylinder Corvette; Andretti has a four-cylinder Chevy Nova.
