Rancho Alamitos Names Boys’ Basketball Coach

Eric Hamamoto has been named boys’ basketball coach at Rancho Alamitos High School, replacing three-year coach Terry Munson, who resigned this month.
Hamamoto has been coach of the Rancho Alamitos girls’ team, which went 20-4 and finished second in the Garden Grove League last season. Three years ago, the team was winless.
The Rancho Alamitos boys finished third in the league last season with a 9-5 record and were 12-10 overall. Hamamoto inherits junior varsity and sophomore teams that finished first.
