Georgia Bar Won’t Push for Swindall Disbarment

ATLANTA — The State Bar of Georgia has agreed not to push for disbarment of former Rep. Pat Swindall, and he has accepted temporary suspension of his law license during appeal of federal perjury convictions.
C. David Butler, an attorney who is serving as special master in the bar association’s disbarment case against Swindall, said Friday that lawyers for the two sides agreed to the deal Thursday.
