Hoover 37, South Pasadena 6--Hoover’s defense limited South Pasadena to 53 total yards--three in the second half--and one first down, and quarterback James Cottrell threw for one touchdown and ran for another at Glendale High.
Walter Ulloa returned a punt 53 yards for a touchdown and kicker David Bronner added field goals of 26 and 29 yards as the Tornadoes (1-1) built a 21-0 halftime lead.
