Sophomore Jeff Esters of the University of Pittsburgh, expected to be a starter at defensive tackle this fall, was released from a Pittsburgh hospital after suffering serious cuts in his right hand when he punched out a dormitory window.
Esters had discovered that $300 his parents had sent him to buy a leather coat had been stolen.
