CSUN’s Pile Qualifies for Triple Jump Event

Lolita Pile of Cal State Northridge jumped 40 feet 3 inches in the triple jump at an all-comers meet at CSUN on Saturday to qualify for the NCAA Division II championships.
The school record-holder in the triple jump (42-4 3/4), Pile placed second in the Division II meet last year, fourth in ’88 and eighth in ’87.
