Irvine Mayor Candidate’s Statements
A recent article in The Times concerning the erroneous statements of Sally Anne Sheridan, who is running for mayor of Irvine, points up two serious flaws. Sheridan admits she lied about her educational credentials and then blamed it on her campaign committee.
If she cannot manage her own campaign committee, how can she manage a whole city and especially one as large and important as Irvine?
Another questionable statement by Sheridan was her obvious contempt for nurses.
Her excuse for what she did was that she did not want to be considered just a plain nurse who washed bedpans. Was Sheridan referring to Florence Nightingale? The nursing profession is one of the most respected, time-honored professions and should not be debased by someone like Sally Anne Sheridan.
