U.S. Supreme Court Ruling Puts Limits on Freedom of Religion

All Supreme Courts hope for a place in history. The Rehnquist Court has just assured its place in infamy. Its opinion declaring that religious faith is subordinate to law will be remembered as the most scurrilous since Dred Scott. Fancying themselves strict constructionists, the majority justices have instead decided that the signers didn’t really mean what they said. Give us back the First Amendment!
