Airbus Claim Delayed

GENEVA — The United States today delayed filing an unfair trading complaint against exchange rate protection for the West German partner in the European Airbus jetliner consortium.
U.S. officials said they assumed Washington wanted to continue consultations with the European Community and its four Airbus consortium members--France, Britain, West Germany and Spain.
The United States had previously announced that the complaint would be filed today.
