HOLDOUTS : Packers Warn QB Majkowski

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Coach Lindy Infante and Green Bay Packers Vice President Tom Braatz say time is running out for holdout quarterback Don Majkowski if he wants to be the team’s starter for the Sept. 9 season opener.
“He should be in here by now,” Braatz said. “We’re coming to a time where he’s not going to be ready for the first game. When that happens, his value diminishes. We’re getting to that point.”
Majkowski has rejected a two-year offer of $2.4 million, a one-year offer of $1.2 million and a five-year deal worth $8.5 million. The latter was heavy on deferred payments.
