George Horton, who coached Cerritos College to three state community college baseball championships in five years, has resigned and is expected to be named in a couple of weeks as associate head coach at Cal State Fullerton.
Horton will aid Fullerton Coach Augie Garrido.
A graduate of Downey High School and a player at Cerritos in the early 1970s, Horton had a 226-53 record as Falcons coach.
The college said a temporary baseball coach will be appointed for the 1991 season.
