SACRAMENTO — A former Yolo County undersheriff was sentenced to six months in federal prison and fined $2,000 today for his peripheral role in the FBI’s undercover probe of Capitol corruption.
Wendell Luttrull, 49, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Milton Schwartz. Luttrull is scheduled to surrender to authorities on Sept. 24. His prison has not yet been designated.
Luttrull was accused of extorting $3,650 from the Lighthouse Marina project, a West Sacramento development, for the 1986 reelection campaign of his then-boss, former Yolo County Sheriff Rod Graham.
