CBS, Japanese Network Announce Deal: CBS Inc. and the Tokyo Broadcasting System will combine resources and technology for worldwide news gathering and study the possibility of co-producing sports and entertainment programming, CBS announced. CBS News called the agreement, to go into effect in April, the first of its kind between a U.S. network and one in Japan. It said the pact will create “the world’s largest satellite news gathering system.” The agreement comes as CBS has been seeking ways to cut the cost of news-gathering overseas.

The new Air Force One, a Boeing 747-200, was delivered in August.
